YAKU is a soft, 4-threaded wool yarn, made of 100 % mulesing free merino wool of high quality. YAKU can be worked with 1 strand on 2.5 – 3.0 mm needles or with 2 strands on 4.5 – 5.0 mm needles. Thus, when knitting 2 strands of YAKU, it can be used as an alternative to my LAMAULD and LAMATWEED.
YAKU is super soft, scratch free and can be washed in the washing machine on a wool program using a wool detergent. The threads are spun even, which makes YAKU easy to knit and crochet with.
