QUALITY – NATURAL MATERIALS TYND LAMAULD is a soft, rustic and 1-threaded yarn consisting of 50% llama wool and 50% Peruvian Highland wool. The length is 220 meters per 50 grams. The recommended gauge is 28 sts x 40 rows and the recommended needle size is 2.5 - 3 mm. TYND LAMAULD is the same quality as LAMAULD. Two strands of TYND LAMAULD can be used as an alternative to and together with LAMAULD. You can see the many beautiful colours in TYND LAMAULD below and at the stores of my RETAILERS. The fibers of the llama wool are an exclusive natural product, lanolin free, light, and strong. The hollow construction of the fibers gives an unusual, good insulation capacity. Therefore, the llama wool is significantly warmer than ordinary sheep wool. The yarns rustic look, high insulation capacity and strength, makes TYND LAMAULD particularly suitable for classic Nordic knitwear, shawls, scarfs, baby blankets and other clothing that needs to be light, strong, and warm. TYND LAMAULD is spun 1-threaded and first unfolds completely, when knitted and washed. A knitted and washed swatch is therefore recommended to get the full impression of the qualitites, look and softness of the yarn. Llama wool has naturally very varied lengths of the fibers, which gives surplus fibers in the work process. Most of these fibers are washed out at the first washes, which makes the result even softer. NOTICE, Tynd Lamauld has, because of its thickness and the 1-treaded spinning, a tendency to twist in the knitwork, when worked in the round in stockinette stitch with a single strand. TYND LAMAULD from CaMaRose is produced in Peru with consideration for both environment, animal welfare, the local farmers, and workers. High quality demands, as well as consideration for both environment, animals and people in the production, is the foundation for the spinning mills collaboration with CaMaRose since 2010. I wish you a lot of fun with TYND LAMAULD, a CaMaRose yarn, made for you with care. Best wishes, Trine Bertelsen Product info - Materials: 50% llama and 50% wool.
