ØKOLOGISK HVERDAGSULD in the colour 02 RÅHVID is an un-dyed basic yarn, which is spun from 100% organic fibers, at my European manufacturer, who produces with consideration for environment, animal welfare, health, working conditions, sustainability, and quality.
The colour RÅHVID is the basis of the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified dyeing of the other colours in ØKOLOGISK HVERDAGSULD.
RÅHVID ØKOLOGISK HVERDAGSULD is, with its neutral natural colour, suitable as ground colour in fair isle knitwork and in general as a contrasting colour in your needlework. RÅHVID is a classic in the Nordic knitting tradition and makes a beautiful contrast when working with two colours.
RÅHVID can be combined with the other colours in ØKOLOGISK HVERDAGSULD for beautiful individual colour combinations. For THE BEGINNER BLANKET i have used the colour RÅHVID as a contrast.
RÅHVID ØKOLOGISK HVERDAGSULD is a suitable basic yarn for plant dyeing, if you want an organic yarn as starting point. ØKOLOGISK HVERDAGSULD absorbs colours beautiful and even and is easy to handle in the colour pot after being wound to skeins and is hardy in the colouring process.
RÅHVID ØKOLOGISK HVERDAGSULD is a classic two-threaded wool yarn. The fiber structure and construction, gives the yarn qualities like lightness and durability. These qualities makes it particularly suitable for sweaters, cardigans, interior, hobby, weaving, felting and colouring.
